Welcome to another big new week @ Royal Reviews!
We've got a fresh new look and we're ready to dish up some royal-themed novels to celebrate. Featuring Marquise of Mischief, Queen of Happy Endings, Empress of Good & Evil and myself, let me introduce this week's theme:

The Six Brides of Henry VIII
Yes, this week we're covering 3 Katherines, 2 Annes and a Jane. Phew! I can barely remember them all...I wonder how poor Henry coped with it?! Oh. That's right...
For those of you who may want to get into the mood of the week a little, I have some fantastic photos for you below from Season Two of The Tudors (raise your hand if you're a fan!). Although after all the HF reading I've done the past two years, I've come to accept that Henry VIII didn't look anything like Jonathon Rhys Meyers *sigh* A girl can dream, right?
PS Does anyone know if the plan on making Jonathon Rhys Meyers obese like the real Henry VIII? That man did a lot of emotional eating by the looks of it but JRM is still as buff as a 20 year old sportsman...just with an oozing pustule on his leg.
Queue mood music...

Hi Annie!
I loved the Tudors, and the pics are great.
Sounds like a busy week....
Dottie :)
I absolutely llllooovvveeee The Tudors and can't get enough of JRM and Henry Cavill! And I don't think they're planning on plumping JRM up, at least from what I've read. The upcoming season (whenever that is) will be the last though. So we'll have to get our fix of JRM and HC while we can.
I adore the Tudors on Showtime! Of course, I can never get enough of anything set during the Tudor era in my books either.
I love the tudors and love the new look here -very regal. Can't wait for this week!
LOVE the Tudors even though Henry is unrealistic. But really could, you stand to watch what the actual Henry looked like leering at these women?
I read somewhere that JHM refused to gain any weight and is very relunctant to wear a suit. So I'll guess no. Because he should be a bit chunky by now.
Besides, why be realistic now?
Tudor lover here Too! Great Pic's I too was wonder how they were going to handle his weight gain.
LOVE the new Design you way out did yourself. The details are great like the post divider. Great new header. Did you make it? If so you did all did a wonderful job!
Love the blog design. Absolutely love it.
Oh...me...me... (with hand raised). I really love the Tudors (only have watched season one though) and yes...JRM is something to watch. I too have resigned myself to the fact that the really Henry VIII looked nothing like JRM...nothing! I also like Henry Cavill and he actually may be my favorite.
What about the women? I bet that they did not look as fabulous in IRL as they are portrayed in the Tudors.
I love the Tudors, despite some ridiculous and unnecessary historical inaccuracies! I still love seeing all my favorite Tudor characters acted out on the stage! I thought Jonathan Rhys Meyers was actually an okay choice to play Henry (looks-wise) at first. Everyone should keep in mind that during his younger years Henry VIII was considered quite the handsome lad. It wasn't until his later years that he became the gross, obese man we think of him as today. I too was wondering if they would throw him in a fat suit for the last season. I think Jonathan Rhys Meyers is great eye candy...but he can't act that part for the life of him!
I am loving your new blog design. It looks beautiful! And very royal indeed.
Love the photos, Annie. My hand is raised ~ love the Tudors!
Huge Tudor fan! Sounds like a thrilling week!
LOVE THE TUDORS. Anyway, read an article after the last season that said part of the contract stipulation for JRM to stay with the show was that he would NOT have to gain a large amount of weight so...I don't think it will happen.
Inaccurate but still super hot.
Love your blog too btw.
