The doctor will see you now...
Three sizzling-hot erotic romance stories to stoke your mood
In The Intern, the temperature of Dr. Lauren Marks’s office quickly rises when her new medical intern Courtney turns out to be a passionate and sexy young man.
Valerie realizes all of her fantasies when her sexy surgeon and her loving husband team up to offer her some extra-special treatment in My Doctor, My Husband, and Me.
Nikki gets more than she bargained for in Seize the Doctor when the hot guy she recently met at a bar walks into her exam room wearing a white coat. Good thing she wore her sexiest lingerie.
Dr. Lauren Marks has just hired on a new intern. While she is excepting Courtney, the intern, to be a woman, Lauren is surprised when she discovers he’s a hot young man that drives her libido up the wall.
I liked that Lauren was older (she’s 36) but unfortunately the author chose to make her more like an annoying high school girl. Rather than just approaching Court, Lauren decided to stew about a potential relationship with him while playing games that should have ended in high school.
The writing style of The Intern wasn’t my favorite either. The characters felt disconnected from the story and as a reader, I was put off by how immature the characters were. It also felt like the majority of the story was just thrown in to make a higher word count.
While the sex scenes could be considered erotic, I found they were on the mild side.
Overall, The Intern just wasn’t my cuppa tea. I had to force myself to finish it.
My Doctor, My Husband, and Me
Valerie is attracted to her foot surgeon and inspired in part by Thoreau’s Walden she decides she want to sleep with her doctor only if her husband watches. She thinks it’s her right after her husband had an affair and she remained faithful. So the three enter into a friends with benefits (as she calls it) type of sexual relationship.
I liked the writing style of My Doctor, My Husband, and Me. It had a better flow and it felt as though the characters were connected to the story. The characters in this one were a bit more ‘grown-up’ in their behavior, but only just barely.
The sex scenes were a whole lot steamier introducing a ménage à trois, exhibitionism, and BDSM .
Overall, My Doctor, My Husband, and Me had a better flow but I still wasn’t completely submerged into the story.
Seize The Doctor
Nikki met a man at a bar who was playing a game with his friends to see how many numbers he could pull. After that disaster, she discovers that he’s filling in for her gynecologist, which only makes matters worse. Although she decides she can’t get him out of her mind, so she calls him up.
Once again, we returned to the choppy writing style and characters better suited for high school. While it was a cutesy story with light naughtiness, and an HEA, it was way too immature for me to put a whole lot of interest in. I skimmed through most of the story.
While I had high hopes for Playing Doctor, I don’t think this book was for me. If the characters had been more mature and connected to the stories, perhaps if the characters and plot were better developed I would enjoyed this a bit more.
Excerpt from Playing Doctor – “Seize the Doctor”
At the door to her apartment building, they lingered and talked more while holding hands and looking into each other’s eyes. Hunter gently caressed her hand, making small swirling circles with his thumb on the soft pad of her palm. Nikki seemed as aroused as he was, her eyes dilated and her breath coming in short little pants. He very much wanted to kiss her and hoped she would let him. Nikki swayed toward him, and his arm came around to support the small of her back, gently pulling her against his body.
“May I kiss you good night?” he asked in a low, husky voice.
“Mmm, yes,” she replied, melting into him and tilting her face upward.
His heart pounding, Hunter slowly lowered his mouth to meet hers, just the gentlest sweeping touch on her lips. His breath caught in his throat as he stood wanting and needing more. Deepening the kiss, Hunter crushed her tightly to him and stroked her lips with his tongue. He was burning with desire and wondered for perhaps the hundredth time this evening if she was wearing those so-sexy underthings. Oh, how he would love to see them on her, to slowly peel them off her body and explore her with his tongue. Thinking that he was getting dangerously carried away, he started to pull back, but then Nikki parted her lips and welcomed his kiss into her mouth. Hunter pulled her even more tightly to him.
He could taste Nikki now, the subtle flavor of her mixed with the tangy beer they had consumed with dinner. The press of her breasts to his chest, her peaked nipples pressing into him, sent a shooting thrill throughout his body. His hand ached to reach up and caress her there. Before he got carried away, Hunter started to release her, but Nikki reached up and put her arms around his neck, pulling him back to her and deepening the kiss.
It felt so good, so hot. Hunter reveled in the sensations and the awareness that this gorgeous woman wanted him as much as he wanted her. His bulging erection pressed into her belly, and he could barely stop himself from rubbing it against her. Instead, he ended the kiss and stepped firmly away, feeling unstable, as if he might lose control and yank her back, and then nothing would be able to stop him from finishing what they were starting. He needed to get away quickly. He didn’t want to ruin things now.
“This was a terrific evening. Thank you,” Hunter said, turning away quickly, worried that Nikki might try to restart the kiss. Very much wanting her to do just that.
“I enjoyed it too. Bye,” Nikki responded, still leaning toward him.
“Thank you again. I’ll call you soon,” he said as he resolutely walked away.
Hunter felt young and carefree…

Today on The Doctor Is In we get to meet three hunky physicians from Kate Allure’s soon to be released [or just released] erotic romance anthology Playing Doctor—because the only thing sexier than one Alpha doctor is three!
In Playing Doctor, you'll meet young, blond, and movie-star handsome Courtney Sinclair in the summer romance “The Intern.” Next is the spicy ménage “My Doctor, My Husband, and Me,” with Luka Czerny—a surgeon with thick lustrous black hair, just the hint of a sexy foreign accent, and a bedside manner like warm honey. And then there is Hunter Sterling—think Greek god gorgeous but with a friendly boy-next-door personality—who finds true love in “Seize the Doctor.” Where else but in Playing Doctor can you take three sexy doctors to bed with you?
Until then, get to know them in our interview series, The Doctor Is In, where today we ask:Dr. Luka Czerny: My homeland, Czechoslovakia, is filled with beautiful ancient castles and parklands. I think it would be romantic to take Valerie and her husband Elliott there to visit some of them…Oh! Did I mention I’m in a ménage a trois. We’ve already gone to a tropical island together, and it was great to be away from nosy neighbors or fears of running into anyone we know. We could be open about our relationship, and that in it self was special. Yes, I think I’ll have to propose a trip to Old Europe. Maybe even stay in one of those converted palace hotels. I can see Elliott and I playing “lords of the manor” with Valerie serving as our shared wench and bed warmer. Mmm. So many possibilities.
Dr. Hunter Sterling: It’s going to sound like I’m pandering, especially after Dr. Czerny, but I can’t think of anything more romantic than a quick trip to London with the one you love. During the day we’d wander the city…no particular goal in mind but spending time with each other. At dusk, we’d do the London Eye Ferris Wheel, and I’d kiss her silly while we watch the city lights far below. Later I’d find us a cozy spot in an ancient pub where we’d share ale and kiss some more. And, although I lean toward modern decor, I think for romance we’d find a hotel with a four-poster bed and a large claw foot tub…and then make joint use of both. Paris maybe considered the “City of Love” but for me London is for Lovers and that’s where I’d go for a quick romantic getaway.
Court Sinclair: Well, I’m a med student with large undergraduate student loans and four more years of med school. All my dates have to be simple and cheap, but I think that making them romantic is totally doable. All you need is a bottle of wine, a cozy corner in a quiet tree-filled park, and each other. If you’re with the right person, you’ll find romance in everything you do from shared chores to inexpensive nights out. Just going to the grocery store with each other and buying ingredients for a meal that you make together can be very romantic…and erotic, especially if you turn down the lights, sit close, and slowly feed each other. I can imagine lots of possibilities, and I think I’d have to include some honey or chocolate syrup on the menu for a lickable sweet dessert.
