Texas Cowboy Blog Tour Featuring Carolyn Brown and Linda Broday

Hello Lovelies!

They are tough, hardworking, and have the manners their mama gave them. Is it no wonder that readers are in love with the ultimate hero — cowboys. Today we’ve got the heroines from Carolyn Brown and Linda Broday's newest Western romances to explain exactly what it takes to rope in a stubborn cowboy. Take it away ladies!

Linda Broday: Rancher Cooper Thorne, the oldest of his blood brothers, is the hero in Texas Mail Order Bride. He's the founder of the Battle Creek Bachelors Club and has vowed to never marry because of his horrific past. He’s happy being a bachelor. It’s the only way to protect himself from pain. It gets a mite lonely at times but he’s accepted that as his fate. Maybe he has, but Delta Dandridge has other plans. He might have spurned her as a bride and that really smarted, but she hasn’t given up. Delta says:

“Oh my dear Lord, Cooper Thorne is more hard-headed and cantankerous than a government mule! A lady knows ways to get her man though. First, I acted like he didn’t exist and went my merry way. Just ignored him which was really hard to do because I felt like a jolt of lightning hit me every time I came within a mile of him. I added just a little frost to my voice when we spoke. That made him let down his guard because he felt safe from me. But then…I made sure he’d run into me every time he turned around. I smiled real pretty and called him “sugah” in my Southern drawl which made his gray eyes (that are the exact color of gunmetal) get all sparkly. After that, I ignored him a little more, let him brush a kiss across my lips just to dangle a juicy worm in front of him. I don’t know if it got him hot and bothered, but oh my…it sure did me! He was crawling through my bedroom window before long. And that’s how a Southern lady got her man. I surely do hope it helps you. I hope you’ll try Texas Mail Order Bride and if you like it, look for Twice a Texas Bride coming in May. Happy Reading y’all!”

Carolyn Brown: Hi, ya’ll! I’m Jill Cleary and when I came to Fiddle Creek in The Trouble with Texas Cowboys, I wasn’t a bit interested in finding, getting or even lookin’ at another rancher. Burned once by a rich cowboy, I just wanted to help Aunt Gladys run the ranch and Aunt Polly take care of the bar. No one bothered to tell me that Sawyer O’Donnell and I would have to share the bunkhouse or that the Gallaghers and the Brennans both wanted Fiddle Creek and they’d do anything to get it. Suddenly I had two cowboys who wanted me, all for the wrong reasons, and one that was my friend, that was fast claiming my heart. I’m not sure I had any tricks up my sleeve when it came to ropin’ Sawyer, but believe me my two aunts dang sure did.

Hi everyone! I'm so excited about this new book. I knew from the moment Cooper Thorne strolled onto the page with that loose-hipped way of walking and his dogged determination that he was a very special character. He captured my heart right away and then when I found out his story and what he'd been through I was even more drawn to him. Delta provided just the kind of woman he needed.

I hope the story thrills your heart as much as it did mine. I couldn't help laughing at some of the things Cooper said and did. But I needed Kleenex in places.

Take care and Happy Reading!!

Oh boy,am I ever anxious to read Cooper and Delta's story in its entirety! She claims he sent for her and he says he didn't. A classic "he says she says" situation. Love it! Thanks so much for your writing, Linda. And thanks for the post! jdh2690@gmail.com

I really enjoy a good cowboy story, either historical or contemporary. There's just something about a cowboy hero. You asked for my favorite Texan, and I guess it would be George W. Bush.
