My Thoughts:

I've read the entire series and have to say Ms. Falkner truly ended this series on a high note (at least I think it's ended, because I see no mention of a future book in the series when I go to her website). She wrapped up some lingering plot lines from the prior book (specifically, the series villain).

Cecelia - I liked her a lot because she offered such a differing perspective than Marcus. She's full fae, not ashamed of who and what she is, nor (once she gets into it) is she shy about exploring sex (nice thing about being fae, they're not trapped quite as much by the social conventions of the time).

Marcus - There's not much better than a virgin hero who's not ashamed of the fact (even if he doesn't advertise his status). Marcus is truly torn between the two worlds he lives in and so conscientious about stepping into the role of his human father's title. He worries about his little brother feeling resentment for usurping his claim to the title, but still tries to do his best by his little brother too. He's a good, caring man. Even if he's a bit of a dip/clueless when it comes to women sometimes.

These two play off each other well. I like the fact that they were lifelong friends and very comfortable with each other (or at least they were until Marcus entered human life and Cecelia felt abandoned by him). Once Marcus discovered just what was going on back in the land of the fae with Cecelia and her father, he dove right into solving the problem. He didn't take over or force Cecelia to travel any particular road to dealing with her father, but he wouldn't just let it continue. Cecelia was brilliantly handled in how torn she was between loyalty to her father and her long-time love of Marcus.

Finally, there is no doubt in my mind that these two got exactly what they deserved: a deliriously happily ever after, and very possibly readers will walk away with a bit of a diabetic overload. It was incredibly sweet, the whole story, without some of the over-done drama that can sometimes creep in to add "tension" to a book. Absolutely highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a lighter-toned paranormal historical romance.
