“Fa La La Forever” Blog Tour & Giveaway

FaLaSome of my favorite Forever romance authors have stopped to share what their Top 5 elements a story must have for that “holiday feel”.

Debbie Mason

Debbie Mason- To capture the holiday feeling, I need the book to have snow, a Christmas tree, Santa (preferably with the hero playing the part) and a scene or two with family and friends celebrating the holiday.

HaymoreJennifer

Jennifer Haymore- The atmosphere is important, I think—snow, winter, and a roaring fire. But I think the most important thing is the feeling of family and togetherness—that’s what the holidays are all about!

Sue-Ellen_Welfonder

Sue-Ellen Welfonder- Loving atmosphere as I do, a charming, ‘enchanted’ setting is a must for me.  There has to be a fairytale element that lends sparkle and magic.  The holidays can happen anywhere, but my personal taste requires cold and snow, brittle air laced with the scent of pine, frosty nights and glittering stars, delicious baked goods and a scrumptious feast at a lavishly-set table, enjoyed by candlelight.  A cheery fire is also a must, as is the prerequisite joy of the season.  The rest comes from within: the goodness of man that so easily spills forth now, softening hearts, spreading gladness, and bringing love.

Jessica Scott

Jessica Scott- I'm from Maine so snow, snow, snow! I love a white Christmas - despite having spent the better part of 20 years in Texas. Give me that classic Christmas card feel - sparkling lights on the snow, cold nipping at your nose and I'm going to just fall into the story!

Nina Rowan

Nina Rowan - I think a holiday story absolutely has to engage all five senses with the wonderful things we associate with Christmas—sparkling trees, silver bells, apple cider, sugar-plums, roasted turkey, golden tinsel, fresh green wreaths, shiny presents, mistletoe tied with a red ribbon…see, you’re getting into the spirit already, aren’t you? Smile
