I would like to welcome Addison Fox to Royal Reviews!
---------------------------------------------
I’m so excited to visit Royal Reviews today and my thanks to Angela for having me!
When she extended the outreach to visit, she mentioned it might be fun to hear more about my House of Steele series for Harlequin Romantic Suspense and since I will jump at any opportunity to discuss writing, I immediately said yes!
While writing is my passion, reading is as well. I’ve been a life-long reader and devour pretty much anything you put in front of me. I say this frequently – I’m a reader first – and it’s been amazing to me how much of my reading habits I’ve brought to my writing life. One area where this is especially true is my love of series.
I love the world of connected characters. While I’m pretty adamant that I want to see a book end with my hero and heroine finding their happy ever after, I do love to check back in on them from time to time. Whether it’s an interconnected band of warriors, three best friends or a group of siblings who all see the world with their own point of view, series are a fun way to explore the dynamics between individuals who create a connection. This has been especially true in my House of Steele series.
When Liam, Campbell, Kensington and Rowan Steele lose their parents to a car accident as teens, their lives change in a myriad of ways. While they have a tight bond, each also grows up somewhat adrift in life. Where they end up channeling their energy and their lives is into a family business running an elite security firm called the House of Steele. As I have been fond of saying, they can “find anything, fix anything or break anything.” But what none of them expect is to fall in love!
I just turned in the last book of the series to my editor and I can honestly say the books took me on a journey I never expected. I expected to write sexy stories about globe-trotting security agents. What ended up coming to live on the page was – hopefully! – sexy stories about globe-trotting security agents who come to realize they’ve lived their lives in an empty pattern that will only change by accepting a powerful love with another.
Liam, Campbell, Kensington and Rowan thought they were so smart….and then love came in and knocked them around a bit. Fortunately, at the other end were some pretty fantastic people for them to love always.
So I’ve gone on long enough! What about you? Do you love interconnected series? And if so, what are some of your favorites? I’m giving away a copy of the first two books – THE PARIS ASSIGNMENT and THE LONDON DECEPTION – to one commenter today.

BIO:
Despite early ambitions of being a diver, a drummer or a doctor, Addison Fox happily discovered she was more suited to life as a writer. She lives in Dallas and - thankfully - doesn't have to operate on anyone. You can find her at her home on the web at www.addisonfox.com. Her most recent release is THE LONDON DECEPTION, the second in her House of Steele miniseries for Harlequin Romantic Suspense.
I would like to thank Addison Fox for introducing us to The House of Steele as well as for the giveaway!

I've read quite a few series books, and absolutely loved them. It's nice to see familiar characters that we've come to know and love, show up in another story.

The MacKenzie's by Jennifer Ashley, The Baloghs by Mary Huxtable, The Hathaways by Lisa Kleypas, Maya Banks' "Breathless triology" and Sarah MacLean's "Rules of Scoundrels". I've loved each and every character, whether good, or bad. I love to see the hero finally redeemed and getting his "happy ever after".

Thank you for the chance to win.
