He's Getting Tired of Deception...
Baron Winslow Keating is honor-bound to finish one last mission as an elite spy for the Barbican group even though he just wants to go home and be with his family. But after years of secrecy and absence, his daughters hardly know him, and his wife has given up on him.
She Wants to Try a Little Intrigue...
Lady Elinor has had enough of domestic boredom. She contemplates an affair with a rakish spy, only to discover a world of intrigue and treachery that she never knew existed. Even more shocking, her neglectful husband is suddenly very attentive—quite the jealous type—and apparently there is much more to him than she ever knew.
My Thoughts:
I so love a good spy book and Shana Galen doesn’t disappoint with the second installment of her Lord and Lady Spy series.
Lady Elinor is bored with playing housewife and would do just about anything to have a little fun and make her husband jealous.
Baron Winslow Keating is a spy for the Barbican group whose missions have kept him away from his wife and children. When he discovers that Elinor has become involved with Rafe Trollope, he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe.
Like Lord and Lady Spy, the first book in the series, True Spies deals with a marriage that has fallen by the wayside. While the plot deals with the spy aspect, the center of the book revolves around Elinor and Winn rediscovering each other.
Not only was the plotting and pacing brilliant, fans of Lord & Lady Spy were able to catch-up with the hero and heroine from that novel as well.
