A Highland Wolf on a Mission...

Duncan MacNeill is hell-bent on catching the thief who's stolen the clan's fortune and run off to Grand Cayman Island. Duncan has rarely left his homeland and he couldn't care less about an island paradise. He never expected to find a beautiful distraction who will show him just how appealing paradise can be...

Meets a Dangerous Distraction...

Lone wolf and botanist Shelley Campbell headed to the island to study the old growth forests. She didn't count on meeting a handsome Highlander who can't keep his paws off her.

Book Details: Title: A Howl for a Highlander, Author: Terry Spear, ISBN:978-1-4022-5893-0, Publisher: Sourcebooks Casablanca, Format: Mass Market Paperback, $7.99, How I Read It: Mass Market Arc from Publishers, Rating: 4 Crowns.

My Thoughts:

Those sexy Highlander werewolves are back and this time the romance is hotter than the tropical location the book is set in.

When Duncan MacNeill is sent to Grand Cayman Island in search of the wolf who stole his clan’s money, he never imagined that he would find a sexy lone wolf.

Shelley Campbell has plans to study the island’s fauna in the ancient dry forest. Yet when she discovers that her funding has disappeared she needs to come up with a way to keep her private villa without using the majority of her personal money. When sexy wolf, Duncan MacNeill needs a place to stay, Shelley finally discovers a way to pay for the villa.

However, things become interesting when Duncan discovers that the same wolf who ripped off his clan is the same one that has absconded with Shelley’s funding.

A Howl for a Highlander pulled me in. Not only does it contain werewolves but these hunky werewolves also happen to be Highlanders. Seriously, what else could you ask for? Perhaps you want an attractive hero and a strong-willed heroine with so much raw sexual tension the book has the potential to explode in your hands. Well, with A Howl for a Highlander that is exactly what you get. Plus an exotic local, danger that has you at the edge of your seat, a plot that is intoxicating, and the promise that two more books with daring Highlander werewolves will follow. (For those of you who do not know, Duncan MacNeill is a quadruplet. You can find his brother, Ian’s story in Heart of the Highland Wolf, which is out now.)

I loved this book although I wished that it had been set in Scotland. While the exotic location was a nice touch, it seemed a little off-putting at times. Also, a few of the events seemed a bit superfluous. Yet with that being said, by the end everything seemed to gel together.

Overall, I enjoyed it. Terry Spear’s Highlander werewolves will always gain my attention and I must say readers are in for a real treat in May when A Highlander Werewolf Wedding releases.
