The next item that I want to share with you is actually a gift that I received. I am a tea fanatic, so when my lovely Mum calls me up and says ‘I was at the tea shop and found you something you will love’ I do a little happy dance (much like Snoopy).
The lovely little gift that she gave me was the English Tea Shop’s Christmas Tea Collection. The lovely tin tea chest contains 72 individually wrapped tea bags in 9 different flavours. (Once again, let the Snoopy dance commence!)
First, let me just say that the lid of the tea tin is a brilliant shade of robin’s egg blue and while the image is indeed Christmassy it’s not tacky or overly done as some holiday tin tend to be.
Moving on to the tea.
The 9 flavours included are:
Peppermint Melon-Green tea, cinnamon pieces, licorice, and peppermint leaves with melon flavour
Sleigh Ride-Green tea, cinnamon pieces, ginger pieces, cardamom pieces, nutmeg pieces, pepper and cloves with soursop and orange pieces.
Candy Cane-Green tea, peppermint leaves, orange peel, cinnamon pieces, chicory, strawberry leaves and vanilla pods with mint, vanilla and coconut flavours
Spicy Anise-Black tea, ginger pieces, cloves and star anise with ginger, mint and anise flavours
Silent Night-Green tea, ginger pieces, cinnamon pieces, peppermint leaves and rose petals with mint flavours
Holiday Blend-Black tea, cinnamon pieces, ginger pieces, cardamom pieces, nutmeg pieces, pepper, cloves and orange peels with vanilla and apple flavours
Honey Melon-Black tea, licorice and cinnamon pieces with honey melon flavours
Irish Holiday-Black tea, almonds, roasted barley, and ginger pieces with vanilla and Irish cream
Spicy Pumpkin-Green tea pieces, ginger pieces, cardamom pieces, nutmeg pieces, pepper, cloves and anise seed with cinnamon, orange, and melon flavours.
The names of the teas are very cheery and immediately put you in a Christmassy mood. I would classify these teas as dessert teas meaning they would be perfect served after a meal or as a nightcap. Not only are they some of the tastiest teas that I have tasted they are some of the most fragrant.
Often in tea collections such as this, the tea bags are sealed in one large bag yet each bag in this collection is individually wrapped, which I loved.

Happy Holidays!
I love tea too and this is a lovely prize. Thanks for the great tea giveaway!
There is nothing but a nice cupa to make your day go a little better!
The assortment of teas choices is wonderful and so many of them are usually so hard to find!
If it was the mid 1790's when Jane was going to get tea she might have picked it up at a newly opened tea shop run by Richard Twining that was on the Stand and was in fact across from the Royal Courts, I can actually envision Jane with her shopping basket on her arm walking around the store and trying to decide what she would pick up that day!
Jane Austen bought her tea from Twinings in the Strand...thanks for the giveaway!

What a cute set! My absolute guess would be at Twinings... I saw a news article about them recently - I think it had something to do with the fact that they are over 300 years old - so the age would fit the bill.
Also, I was surfing around the web and, did you know that you can buy Jane Austen inspired teas - from Bingley's Teas Ltd. Here is the link if you want to check it out - http://www.bingleysteas.com/jane-austen-tea-series. I thought it was very pertinent to your trivia question.
