He’s lives through ages with the curse if attracting women…who end up dead…
Once upon a time, he was the most handsome of princes, destined for great things. But now he’s a lonely legend, hobbled by a dark history. With too many dead in his wake, Bluebeard escapes the only way he knows how—through the evil spell of alcohol. But it’s a far different kind of spell that’s been ruining his life for centuries.
How will she survive this killer Prince Charming?
Jodi Walters is a fixer, someone who can put magic back in order. She’s the best in Hollywood at her game. But Blue had a problem she’s never encountered before—and worse, she finds herself perilously attracted to him.
Welcome to the fractious fairy tale world of Kristine Grayson, where the bumpy road to happily ever after is paved with surprises… (from the back of the book)
My Thoughts:
Most of us have heard the tale of Bluebeard murdering his wives so when Cantankerous Bell, Tank for short, shows up in Jodi’s office asking her to help Blue one can see why Jodi pauses. Although Jodi is the daughter of Chatelaines as well as one herself meaning that Jodi is a fixer and Blue is in serious need of fixing.
Blue believes that he has murdered 15 women that he once cared about and seeing as he is one of the Prince Charmings the only way for him to stop is to make himself repulsive, thus he decides to become an unwashed drunk, which is why Tank, the only woman he will talk to, has thrown him into rehab, again.
Yet when someone puts up a ward against fairies that leaves only Jodi to deal with Blue, however things get more than a little interesting when Jodi triggers Blue charm leading both Tank and Jodi to believe that a curse, not Blue, was what killed the women that Blue cared for.
Having recently been introduced to the magical topsy-turvy fairytales created by the brilliant Kristine Grayson (this was the third book of hers that I read) this one seems a bit darker a bit more mysterious, yet when dealing with the legend of Bluebeard that was to be expected although this was a very different take on Bluebeard.
While you can see the attraction between Jodi and Blue, the book focused more on the curse of Blue rather than the romance.
Mystery, suspense, and darkness abound in Charming Blue so if you are looking a clean romance with paranormal elements and are tired of the normal paranormal themes then this is the book for you.
Series Alert: This is the 4th book in Kristine Grayson’s Charming Series—I have only read two others in the series and I had no trouble keeping up as the book reads as a standalone.

I was kinda thrown with the idea of Bluebeard as a prince, but certainly has made me curious about this book and series.
