The bigger the mistake, the more tempting it is ...

When Nadia Kinsella meets Jay Tiernan, she's tempted. Of course she is. Stranded together while a snowstorm rages outside ... who would ever know?

But Nadia's already been together with Laurie for years—they're practically childhood sweethearts. Okay, so maybe she doesn't get to see much of him these days , but she can' t betray him.

Besides , when you belong to a family like the Kinsellas—glamorous grandmother Miriam, feckless mother Leonie, stop—at—nothing sister Clare—well, someone has to exercise a bit of self—control , don't they? I mean , you wouldn' t want to do something that you might later regret...

My Thoughts:

Nadia Knows Best has to be my favorite Jill Mansell novel thus far. Engaging, captivating, charming, quirky, and witty are just a few of the words that I would use in my litany of praise for this wonderful and highly addictive read.

The book features the Kinsella family, a loveable yet drama filled family who has a few issues of their own to sort through, although it centers mostly on Nadia, who at the start of the novel is in a long-term relationship with Laurie, a stockbroker-turned-model. When a snowstorm causes Nadia’s car to slide into a ditch handsome real estate investor Jay Tiernan comes to her rescue. When they share a bed for the night, Nadia is tempted although she knows she must behave because Laurie is waiting on her.

Laurie, on the other hand, has found that it is much easier to be a stockbroker-turned-model-turned-actor if he rids himself of Nadia. Now, when Nadia and Jay fatefully bump into each other the attraction is still there and she has nothing to tie her down although she was hoping for a bit more than a job offer. Accepting the job as landscaper, the man she once thought was sweet now has turned into the boss from hell and the pregnant woman that keeps arriving has Nadia wonder who Jay truly is.

As though life wasn’t complicated already, Laurie shows up deciding that he would rather have Nadia than a Hollywood lifestyle. Nadia now must decide if she wants Laurie or Jay.

Then we have the rest of the Kinsella family. Miriam, the grandmother who is hiding a secret from her past that could land her in jail should it become known. Clare, the artist sister who is being screwed over by her boyfriend, Piers, although she cannot quite see it. Tilly, the sweet lovable younger half-sister who has a few problems of her own due to her mother, Leonie, flaking out on her. James, the father who has been single since his wife left him years ago. Leonie, the deadbeat mother who arrives in time stir up a whole batch of trouble. Lastly, Annie the sweet clerk at the newsagents who Tilly befriends and James takes an interest in.

Thanks for this review! I'd been wondering about Mansell but wanted to get a second opinion before I picked one up.

On a side note, I didn't know about The Brontes of Haworth. As a true Bronte fanatic, I need this. NOW! :)
