So often we come across reviews that inspire us to rush out and buy another book and increase our already scary TBR piles. At Royal Reviews, we’ve decided to give out a weekly award to a blogger who has captivated us with an amazing review.
This week, the Inspirational Review Award goes to two bloggers: Amy C @ Romance Book Wyrm and Kristie J @ Ramblings on Romance Etc for their collaborative review on The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley (posted to Amy's blog).
Their review is essentially a collection of emails back and forth between these two awesome bloggers about their thoughts on the book as Amy C was reading it. I loved the approach Amy took to this review not only because it was different but because it was exactly the way I would talk to my friends about a current read. Very entertaining! I don't think this was a book that would normally make it to my TBR pile but their enthusiasm was so infectious that I practically had no choice!
You can view their review here, guaranteed to make you smile.

Congrats to Amy and Christie :D
Well done Amy & Christie, I'm off to check it out!
Congrats Amy and Christie :)
Oh WOW! I'm darn near speechless. This is the coolest award and I am honored that you would award it me and Kristie! I gotta say that it was her idea to compile our messages for something a little different than the normal review :).
I am so glad that it caused the book to catch your eye, because it is one of those books that I just can't imagine anyone truly not liking. Whether they read historical or not, or that time period (like me) or not, it's the characters and I loved them!
Thank you! :)
You're welcome! It was such a fun review and your love for the characters came across so well. It wouldn't normally be the time period I'd pick but it is on the TBR list now!
PS I forgot to tell you that you are welcome to put the award up on your blog if you'd like.
Wow!! What a lovely thing to wake up too!! When I got the email from Amy saying she had just started reading The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie and loving it, I was giddy with excitement. It's such a blissful feeling when another reader shares the same enthusiasm. So it was wonderful sharing Amy's love of this book with her while she was reading it - and offering up crumbs of what was to come - heh heh heh heh
Congrats to Amy & Kristie!
:o)
