What a lovely sequel to Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice. This is the first time that I've read anything like this. In fact I only stumbled across it on Amazon and it wasn't the most highly recommended sequel, but something about it caught my attention so I bought it.
I am thoroughly satisfied with the version of events that occurred in Darcy and Elizabeth's lives and the deep love that developed between them. I remember reading reviews that it was to 'Mills & Boon' and I think that is unfair. It was however the love story I would have imagined for this couple and it definitely had the 'ahhh' feeling at the end of the book.
I was pleasantly surprised to discover it was written by an Australian author who is a teacher. The book was originally self published under the title 'A Private Performance'.
