My Thoughts:

Three Little Words was my first introduction to Susan Mallery as well as Fool’s Gold, the fictional town she brilliantly created and it most certainly won’t be my last.

Even though Isabel Carlisle’s sister was engaged to Ford Hendrix it didn’t stop Isabel from writing to him when he joined the Navy after her sister called off the engagement. Isabel continued writing to him until she married. Now divorced and living back at her parents’ home, Isabel discovers that they have rented the apartment over the garage to Ford.

When Ford and Isabel enter into an arrangement to ‘pretend date’ for his mother’s benefit, they a few perks for themselves along the way.

Although this was my first time reading a Fool’s Gold novel, the characters and the setting had a warm and inviting feel, which could explain why I went out and purchased the previous 11 books in the Fool’ Gold series. While Three Little Words is part of a series and subseries, it reads as a stand-alone book and I had no trouble following along.

I have to say that the chemistry between Ford and Isabel was amazing.
